How it Works

Let me take the stress of meal planning, shopping, and cooking off of your plate!

Decide On A Meal Plan

Each four to six hour cooking session includes three main meals and one smaller item such as a snack or dessert. See the Sample Menus for ideas!

Menu Design

I will work with you to develop a meal plan based on your preferences, dietary restrictions, and special requests! I am especially skilled at gluten free menus and kid-friendly main courses.

Ingredient Shopping

We will collaborate to find the best method for sourcing ingredients. Either I can shop for you or you can do it yourself! Some clients find it most convenient to use a delivery service such as Instacart.

Meal Preparation

In your kitchen, I prepare your week’s meals in one session, taking 3-6 hours depending on meal quantity and people served. You’re welcome to join in the kitchen during this process.

Packaging and Storage

After cooking, I package and label each meal, organizing them in your fridge for easy access, complete with reheating instructions.

Clean-Up

I clean and sanitize your kitchen, leaving it spotless. This includes washing dishes, wiping counters, and organizing, ensuring a tidy space for your next meal.

The Bountiful Blessings Kitchen personal chef service rate is $35 per hour.


Time Spent on Meal Preparation


The time required to prepare meals can vary significantly. It’s influenced by the number of meals being prepared, the size of each meal, and the total number of people being served. Generally, this preparation time can be between 3.5 and 6.5 hours.


Planning Menus and Acquiring Ingredients


In addition to cooking, personal chefs dedicate 1 to 1.5 hours to activities like menu planning and shopping for the necessary ingredients.

Cost of Ingredients

The cost of ingredients is another crucial aspect to consider. This cost is subject to change based on several factors like the number of meals, the chosen menu, and the type of grocery store used for shopping (organic high-end stores vs regular stores). Typically, this cost ranges from $100 to $200 weekly.
